Elocon cream side effect?

my doc prescribed me elcon cream for hyper-pigmentation on my arms but b'coz of using it now i got hypo-pigmentation and this really looks bad.so can anyone over here tell me whether my skin will return to its normal colour on its own or should i see some other cream like vitix...
