OK! I'm 16, and I like older men, I don't mean 20's but 35+, Its stressing me out majorly.?

These laws are set up because of the vulnerability of minors. They don't always make sense, but they are there for a reason. Parents often see age gaps as being wrong as well, but they do so to protect their children. There are many men and women who prey on the young, because they are young, then after they get what they want, they leave which crushes the young soul, leaving them wondering what happened. The younger you are, the more trust you hold because you haven't yet experienced the level of distrust from others that adults have. That is true weather you are gay or straight. Youth today, however, are so quick to grow up. My mom would say, "enjoy being young, because you're only young once." I had the "yea right." attitude then, but as an adult, I understand what that means. I can't tell you what to do with your mom. That's something you have to work out, but even if not with this guy, you will turn 18 and your options of what you want to do will open up when you do.
