I'd say he just cares about you and is worried he will lose you again and what IF you were at the pub, you and your boyfriend had been fighting a little, your friend had a guy who liked you with her, and you thought he was cute, add in a few drinks there is potential to be unfaithful so you cant blame him for worrying there. But I do think he overreacted to the lunch thing though, don't give up all your freedoms including what you wear
